Over the past 25 years, UK-based Marina Projects, which specialises in marina planning, design, engineering, operations and waterfront development, has provided consultancy services on projects across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Marina Projects was established in 2001 and its group now also develops and invests in marina and boatyard businesses, with Whitehaven Marina operating a 400-berth facility in Cumbria and James Watt Marina based in Scotland.
In the UK, Marina Projects has worked on marine and marina infrastructure developments such as Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour in Hampshire, a site with a long shipbuilding history, where it guided the reconfiguration and enhancement of the marina.
The company has also supported marine infrastructure enhancements at Cowes Outer Harbour on the Isle of Wight to strengthen its long-term operational capability and visitor experience. Further north, work at Windermere Marina Village in Cumbria focused on plans for future growth and improved facilities at the inland boating destination.

Across international markets, Marina Projects has advised on waterfront developments in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, covering marinas, superyacht destinations, mixed-use waterfronts, commercial marine facilities and resort projects.
In Boka Bay, on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, the company worked on Porto Montenegro in Tivat, helping transform a former naval shipyard into a superyacht destination. It also advised on the marina and shoreline infrastructure at Portonovi in Kumbor, a €700 million ($807 million USD) luxury resort.
The consultancy has also supported the development of Lantau Yacht Club in Hong Kong, a superyacht marina project involving marina design, capacity and operations. Its work in the Middle East has included luxury waterfront and resort developments, as well as detailed site assessments.
Recently, Marina Projects contributed to the modernisation of The Yacht Harbour Association’s Code of Practice, leading the technical review, stakeholder engagement and drafting support for its revised 8th edition.
