The Municipality of Fano has restored the concession for Marina dei Cesari until 1 September 2100, laying the framework for a public tender that will determine the Adriatic marina’s future management.

The decision was formalised on 29 August 2025 after a request from the bankruptcy receivership of the former operator. It marks the first step in relaunching the port and strengthening its role as a local asset.

The concession ends the existing management and provides stability ahead of the tender process. In the coming months, the receivership will conduct technical and administrative assessments to determine the port’s value. These results will shape the public call to select a new concessionaire.

Located on Italy’s eastern Adriatic coast, Marina dei Cesari offers more than 400 berths for vessels up to 40 metres and provides technical support such as repairs, fuel services, winter storage and a travel lift. The marina also hosts facilities for visitors, including parking, concierge services and connections to the town of Fano.

The upcoming tender will select a new concessionaire to lead Marina dei Cesari’s next phase, shaping its management and role in Fano’s long-term strategy for yachting, tourism, commerce and shipbuilding.
