The 241-berth Imerolia Marina project in North Corfu, Greece, has progressed further after the Ministry of Environment and Energy signed off on its environmental terms. The proposed site for the project had already received committee endorsement in April, and now awaits a joint ministerial decision before the tender process can begin.

In a social media post, Stefanos Gikas, Greece’s deputy minister of maritime affairs and insular policy, said the Directorate of Environmental Permitting had approved the environmental terms for the tourist port. He added that the approval procedures had been completed and preparation of the joint ministerial decision had begun, noting that the project will include harbour and landside infrastructure for the marina’s future operation.
Corfu Port Authority is responsible for the project and will manage the marina, planned for the western shore of Imerolia Bay in Kassiopi on the site of existing port infrastructure and reclaimed land. It is expected to provide 241 mooring spaces, including 232 permanent berths for vessels from 10-35 metres and nine seasonal berths for superyachts longer than 40 metres.
