IGY Marinas, in partnership with Ocean Capital Partners and Grupo Empresas Matutes, has completed a €5 million ($5.4 million USD) redevelopment of IGY Ibiza Marina. The project delivers shore power connections for superyachts, expands berthing capacity and introduces a redesigned berth layout to ease congestion during Ibiza’s peak season.

The new layout now accommodates vessels from 20 to 150 metres. Large yachts can connect directly to the grid, reducing reliance on onboard generators and helping to cut both air and noise pollution in the harbour. The redevelopment also strengthens the electrical capacity of the Sa Marina neighbourhood, which supports faster response times in the event of network incidents.
The redevelopment is projected to generate a socioeconomic impact of €30.4 million ($32.8 million USD) by 2033, supporting local employment and business growth.
Steven English, CEO of IGY Marinas, said: “This project demonstrates our commitment to enhancing both the infrastructure and the guest experience in a key Mediterranean destination. By delivering modern, sustainable upgrades in Ibiza, we are supporting the long-term growth of the regional yachting sector while helping ensure this location remains accessible, efficient and environmentally responsible.”
IGY Marinas currently manages 24 marinas across 15 countries. Its presence in Ibiza is part of a wider network of European and Mediterranean facilities.
