Former Phuket Yacht Haven general manager Nick Wyatt has passed away. The yachting community remembers Wyatt for his years of service and his contribution to Thailand’s growing superyacht sector, having led the marina from November 2002 to November 2016.

Throughout his time at the marina, Wyatt worked closely with yacht owners, captains, crew, brokers and marine businesses, supporting vessels through every stage of their stay – from arranging berths and coordinating provisioning to fuelling and logistics.

In a statement, Asia Pacific Superyachts said his professionalism, leadership and commitment helped establish Phuket Yacht Haven as the premier superyacht marina in Thailand and one of the most respected facilities in Southeast Asia.

“His contribution to the development of Phuket as a world-class superyacht hub cannot be overstated. The respect he earned throughout Thailand and across Southeast Asia stands as a testament to a life dedicated to the sea and to those who made their lives upon it,” the organisation said.

For many in the industry, Wyatt’s role extended well beyond the marina itself. He was regarded as “a mentor, a trusted friend and one of the enduring personalities who helped shape the spirit of Phuket’s yachting community.”

Extending its condolences to Wyatt’s family, Asia Pacific Superyachts said: “Nick leaves behind a legacy that will live on in every yacht that finds a welcome in Phuket, in every friendship he forged and in the community he helped build. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered and forever regarded as one of the true gentlemen of Phuket’s yachting fraternity.”
