Flisvos Marina in Athens has introduced its first electric service boat, a measure intended to cut emissions from marina operations. The vessel will be used to support megayacht docking, assist with manoeuvres and provide short-range transport within the facility.

The project came after two years of research in European shipyards. Construction was carried out at TS Marine in Estonia, a shipyard known for building professional-grade vessels. The boat is made from high-density polyethylene, measuring five metres in length and 2.2 metres in width, and is powered by two outboard electric engines with a combined power of 24kW.

Its battery system provides three to four hours of continuous use and can be recharged through the marina’s network, which operates on renewable energy. With room for four people, the vessel is expected to reduce reliance on fossil fuels while maintaining operational support for larger yachts.
Flisvos Marina features 310 berths, more than half designed for yachts over 30 metres.
