D-Marin is expanding its presence in the Northern Adriatic with the acquisition of Porto San Rocco Marina Resort in Muggia, near Trieste, Italy. The addition increases the company’s Italian portfolio to nine marinas, pending regulatory approval.

Porto San Rocco

Porto San Rocco provides 546 berths for vessels measuring from eight to 60 metres, combining full-service marina infrastructure with a waterfront resort setting. The marina sits within a pedestrianised village designed by architect Luigi Vietti and offers facilities including hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, a swimming pool, fitness centre, beauty facilities, fuel station and conference hall.

Porto San Rocco also serves as a gateway to the Italian, Slovenian and Croatian coastlines, supported by road, rail, air and sea connections. It joins Punta Faro in the Northern Adriatic and expands D-Marin’s largest regional portfolio, which also spans Liguria through Aregai, San Lorenzo, Varazze and Porto Mirabello, Sardinia through Molo Brin and Olbia, and Tuscany through Livorno, which recently opened to superyachts.

As part of D-Marin’s network, Porto San Rocco will benefit from the company’s experience in marina operations, customer services, digital innovation and sustainable infrastructure.

Oliver Dörschuck, CEO of D-Marin, said: “Porto San Rocco sits at the gateway between Italy and the wider Adriatic, with the scale to welcome yachts up to 60 metres. It fits naturally with our marinas in Italy and Croatia. We look forward to building on the marina’s strong foundations together with its team and the local community, and bringing D-Marin’s customer-first approach and operational expertise to Muggia.”

Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI CIB Division served as D-Marin’s financial adviser, and Latham & Watkins provided advice on legal and contractual matters.
