The Municipality of Cesenatico has opened a tender for the development and management of Onda Marina on Italy’s Adriatic coast, with companies invited to submit proposals through the regional procurement platform by October 2026.
The concession will be awarded through a project-financing scheme covering the redevelopment of the marina, as well as the economic and financial management of the site over a 30-year period. The selected bidder will also complete the technical and economic feasibility study, prepare the final design and be responsible for the works planned for the marina and other state-owned areas included in the project.
Onda Marina occupies 5.13 hectares in Cesenatico, within the province of Forlì-Cesena, along Via Andrea Doria, Via Sebastiano Caboto and Viale Magrini. The site includes a basin for leisure boats with pontoons and hauling facilities, tourist accommodation facilities, a mobile gangway and a public car park.
Ravenna-based AR.CO Lavori Società Cooperativa submitted the proposal that serves as the basis for the tender, which was approved by the municipal council in May 2026.
While the total value of the project financing stands at €81.4 million ($93.9 million USD), excluding value added tax, AR.CO’s financial plan estimates that €15.9 million ($18.4 million) will be invested in design, supervision and redevelopment works.
The proposal includes building works, upgrades to marina infrastructure such as dredging and jetty refurbishment, electrical and mechanical systems, and improvements to internal and public parking areas.
Companies interested in participating must submit the required documents electronically through the SATER procurement platform by 13:00 on 15 October 2026.
