Transport for NSW Maritime has opened the first stage of consultation on the future of Ulladulla Harbour, asking residents, businesses, harbour users and visitors for their views on a new master plan.

At the centre of the coastal town, Ulladulla Harbour serves residents and visitors as a place for recreation and public use. It supports boating, tourism and commercial fishing, including the South Coast’s largest commercial fishing fleet.

Work is underway on its southern boat ramp, where the existing dual-lane structure and  central access pontoon are being replaced, along with formalised accessible parking at the northern end of the car park.

The consultation will cover the marina and other maritime facilities, the condition and use of public areas, links between the harbour and the town centre, and possible changes to the wider harbour precinct. Aboriginal cultural values and connections to the harbour will also be considered as part of the planning process.

Transport for NSW Maritime will prepare the master plan over an expected 12-18 months in consultation with Shoalhaven City Council, Crown Lands and the local community. GHD will support the planning work by engaging with harbour users, businesses, stakeholder groups and other interested parties throughout the process.

Community members can share their views online or attend a drop-in session on Saturday, 15 August 2026. Feedback will remain open until 25 August 2026, with further opportunities to comment expected later in the year.
