Laurel Marina in Bristol, Tennessee, USA, has closed until further notice due to “unsafe conditions caused by storm damage”.

The Suntex facility announced the temporary closure in a social media post on Saturday 11 July, reporting that multiple trees and electrical wires had been brought down by the storm resulting in a loss of power.
Laurel Marina urged people not to attempt to enter the property at this time for the safety of their customers, members and staff. The damage is being assessed and a cleanup process is underway, the marina added.
With a total of 550 berths including covered and uncovered berths as well as jet ski ports, winter indoor storage and houseboat berths, Laurel Marina is located on South Holston Lake in northeast Tennessee and was established in 1950. It became part of the Suntex portfolio in April 2016.
