Tamarack Resort in Idaho has begun construction of a new public marina at Lake Cascade, with an opening scheduled for Memorial Day weekend 2026. The project will add new boating and beach facilities aimed at improving access for visitors, local residents and resort guests.

Located 90 miles north of Boise, Tamarack Resort offers year-round mountain, meadow and lake activities across 3,600 acres.
The new public marina will have 100 boat slips for seasonal rental, on-water fuel service and a retail and rental cabana. Additional amenities will include food and beverage services, a dedicated swim area, expanded beaches and a sand volleyball court. A range of watercraft rentals will be available, including paddleboards, kayaks and Hobie-style catamarans.

Approval for the marina followed a long-term lease agreement with the State of Idaho and the Bureau of Reclamation. Scott Turlington, President of Tamarack Resort, said: “This transformative project is the result of a long-term lease with the State of Idaho and approval by the Bureau of Reclamation, and we are proud to deliver a facility that will serve the public, resort residents and guests for years to come. Of all our assets, the mountain may be the most iconic, and the golf course may be the most refined, but the lake has always been the most elusive. And now, finally, it is happening.”
