Covering approximately 10.86 acres, the site features more than 100 freshwater boat slips, operational facilities and about 9.3 acres of river frontage along the St. Marks River. The property is located within the fishing community of St. Marks, which offers the closest access point to the Gulf of Mexico from Tallahassee.

The undeveloped shoreline in the surrounding area has the potential for future waterfront development. Suggested uses for the site include redevelopment into an RV park, condominiums, restaurants, motels or expanded marina facilities.

According to Bryan Cureton, via Tallahassee Democrat reporter TaMaryn Waters, the marina has been operated by the Lynn Brothers Wholesale Seafood business for six decades. The owners, who inherited the property from their father, are retiring from the seafood industry. Cureton described St. Marks Marina as one of the largest partially developed properties in the area, with potential for residential or mixed-use redevelopment.

The landmark property is listed at a starting bid of $3 million USD and is located within a federally designated Qualified Opportunity Zone. Under certain conditions, investments in a Qualified Opportunity Zone may qualify for preferential tax treatment aimed at encouraging economic development in distressed communities.

The online auction offers an opportunity to acquire a large waterfront site with redevelopment possibilities in North Florida.
