Portonovi in Montenegro has announced two new leadership appointments to guide the next phase of its marina and resort development. Selim Ölmez has been appointed General Manager, and Stevan Milić has been named Chief Commercial Officer, as part of the resort’s continued alignment under the Absheron Hotel Group, a subsidiary of PASHA Real Estate and PASHA Holding LLC.

Ölmez brings more than 26 years of experience in the international hospitality sector, having held positions at W Doha, The St. Regis Istanbul and Matild Palace in Budapest. Before joining Portonovi, he served as Cluster General Manager for Absheron Hotel Group, where he managed three flagship hotels.

“What drew me to Portonovi is its incredible potential. It’s a destination that blends natural beauty with world-class design and service. I’m excited to lead the resort into its next chapter and help shape its future as one of the Mediterranean’s top luxury destinations,” said Ölmez
As General Manager, Ölmez will oversee all resort operations, focusing on enhancing guest experience, strengthening team culture and aligning Portonovi’s service standards with international best practices.
Milić has been part of the Portonovi project since 2014, contributing to its growth through his work in corporate affairs, operations and strategy. He previously led the Portonovi Resort Management Company, overseeing both operational performance and commercial planning.

“Being part of Portonovi since the earliest phases has given me a deep understanding of its unique positioning and long-term potential. I am excited to take on the role of Chief Commercial Officer and lead our teams in delivering outstanding business results. Portonovi is one of the most important developments in Montenegro’s luxury tourism sector, and I am proud to support its continued growth, both as a flagship project for our company and as a contributor to positioning Montenegro prominently on the global luxury map,” said Milić.
In his new role, Milić will oversee all commercial operations, including sales, marketing and marina sales, with a focus on driving growth, partnerships and market expansion.

Portonovi Marina remains central to the resort’s identity and growth. Situated at the entrance of Boka Bay, the marina features 238 berths for vessels up to 140 metres, along with services such as refuelling, dock assistance, towing and waste management. Its position offers mooring and direct access to the Adriatic Sea, while the surrounding waterfront includes a yacht club, residential properties and leisure facilities designed to support a coastal community.
