Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina, in partnership with Sol Grenada Ltd., has launched a new marine fuelling system aimed at improving services for yachts and superyachts operating in the Southern Caribbean.

The launch reflects ongoing efforts to enhance marine facilities in Grenada and provide a fuelling option for both local and visiting vessels. The system is designed to meet the technical requirements of modern yachts while maintaining safety and service standards.

The official ceremony was attended by government officials and representatives from the marine and tourism sectors, including Acting Prime Minister and Senior Government Representative Lennox Andrews, General Manager of Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina Zara Tremlett, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority Stacey Liburd, CEO of the Grenada Ports Authority Frank Redhead and General Manager of Sol Grenada Ltd. Collin Francis.

The programme included a welcome address, remarks from partner organisations, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and a short demonstration of the fuelling system’s operation.

Tremlett stated: “We are thrilled to launch this new fuelling facility in partnership with Sol. This investment is a cornerstone of our commitment to providing world-class amenities at Port Louis Marina. It directly addresses the needs of the yachting sector, ensuring that captains and vessel owners have access to top-tier fuel services, which is crucial for attracting and retaining high-quality marine traffic to our shores.”

Francis commented: “Sol is proud to be the fuel partner for this landmark project at Port Louis Marina. Our collaboration ensures that the marina is supplied with high-quality, reliable marine fuels, supported by our stringent safety and operational standards. This initiative aligns with our mission to power the Caribbean’s growth, and we are excited to contribute to the development of Grenada’s marine economy.”

According to the Grenada Tourism Authority, the new fuelling system complements the island’s wider tourism infrastructure: “The yachting sector is a vital part of our tourism economy. This new, reliable fuelling system at Port Louis Marina makes Grenada a more attractive and convenient port of call, encouraging longer stays and increased spending within our local communities.”

Situated on Grenada’s southwest coast, Port Louis Marina offers 227 berths accommodating vessels up to 105 metres. Facilities include security, utilities, shower areas and access to local restaurants and leisure activities such as diving, hiking and island excursions. Customs and immigration services are also available on-site.
