Port Denarau Marina in western Fiji has celebrated the expansion of Arm Jetty E and the opening of a new border police office, with police force commissioner Rusiate Tudravu officiating at the ceremony.
Located about 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport, Port Denarau Marina serves as one of Fiji’s main ports of entry and a hub for maritime tourism and yachting. It sits within the Denarau Island Resort, with a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery and restaurants at the dock, while additional provisioning and shopping are available in the nearby town.
The marina accommodates commercial, private and superyacht vessels, including those up to 115 metres long, and has swing moorings. Its facilities also include dockside fuel, a 30-tonne travel lift, a hardstand area and marina service workshops.
The expanded Arm Jetty E now provides more space for commercial vessels following its reconfiguration and is expected to help local operators meet rising demand, create new business opportunities and contribute to economic activity through increased maritime traffic.
During the ceremony, the new border police office was also opened as an on-site base for the Fiji Police Force and border control teams handling security and entry procedures for international travellers arriving at the marina.
