Construction on Stage 1 of Ocean Reef Marina in Western Australia is continuing as of March 2026, with activity focused on preparing the site for future boating, residential and tourism use in Perth’s northern metropolitan corridor.
The development has progressed from earlier milestones, including the completion of breakwaters in August 2023 and the start of internal works in early 2024.
Since subdivision work began in March 2024, servicing has been completed for 70 single residential lots and three additional sites.
Within the marina, the beach area is now taking shape following the completion of the beach wall and final sand placement. Nearby public areas include an internal beach, a bike pump track and open spaces for community use.
The completed marina is planned to include up to 550 berths, 200 dry storage spaces and around 320 trailer parking bays. The broader development will also feature more than 1,000 homes and approximately 1.2 hectares of retail and commercial space.
First identified as a potential marina location in the late 1970s, Ocean Reef Marina is expected to contribute more than three billion AUD to the Western Australian economy. The project is anticipated to support over 8,600 jobs during construction and more than 900 ongoing roles.
