The Gold Anchor scheme is an established global measure of marina quality. It assesses facilities, safety, environmental management and the overall experience for berth holders and visitors.

Maryport Marina is operated by Maryport Harbour & Marina Ltd. and is located in the port town of Maryport on the West Cumbrian coast, approximately 10 miles from the Lake District National Park. The marina occupies the site of the former Senhouse Dock, built in 1894 and redeveloped into a marina in 1990.

The marina now provides 180 berths with on-site facilities including fuel services, washrooms and laundry amenities designed to support berth holders and visiting boaters. A refurbished boatshed offers space for storage and maintenance, while operations include a slipway hoist used for lifting, cleaning and relaunching vessels.

Maryport Marina expressed appreciation in a recent post: “This success is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our staff, who work hard every day to make Maryport Marina a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our berth holders and visitors for their continued support and feedback.”
