MarineMax, Inc. has completed and officially opened its new marina in Stuart, Florida, marking an expansion in the company’s southeast U.S. operations. The marina is situated on company-owned land adjacent to MarineMax's existing retail and service site, which provides increased capacity and upgraded infrastructure to accommodate growing regional demand.
The new marina features over 100 boat storage spaces equipped with boat lifts capable of handling vessels weighing up to 56,000 pounds. The development targets the increasing popularity of larger centre-console boats in the area.
MarineMax President and CEO, Brett McGill, stated, “The development of this new marina enhances our integrated offerings in the Stuart market and creates valuable synergies that support our neighbouring retail sales and service activities. MarineMax Stuart marks the first new marina development project completed from start to finish by our own marine construction company, Midcoast Marine Group, which we acquired in 2022. Stuart and the surrounding area is a rapidly growing, vibrant market, and our slips are already in high demand. MarineMax operates over 120 locations worldwide, including 70 dealerships and 65 marina and storage facilities. The completion of the new marina is expected to support MarineMax’s higher-margin service and storage revenue streams, though the company has highlighted that future performance will depend on several factors, including consumer demand, economic conditions and relations of recent acquisitions.
