Marine Travelift has announced the launch of Marine Travelift-Florida, establishing a factory-owned presence in the state to better serve the region’s concentration of boat handling equipment users. The expansion aims to enhance service delivery for waterfront facilities and marina operators across Florida.

Nearly 300 Marine Travelift units are already in use throughout the state of Florida. The new expansion brings together a team of experienced professionals who will operate locally, supported by the company’s headquarters in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Sales and service will be distributed throughout the state to improve access to parts, maintenance and technical support.
Erich Pfeifer, President and CEO of Marine Travelift, stated that the goal of the investment is to offer Florida customers greater value and more efficient support. “Having an experienced and highly skilled local team with the right tools and factory support will allow for improved service and provide more value to our customers.” The investment is expected to streamline service schedules and enhance overall equipment performance.
Marine Travelift-Florida takes over territory previously managed by WE Johnson Equipment. Owner of WE Johnson, Gary Work, is retiring after 33 years of service. Pfeifer expressed gratitude, noting, “We extend our sincere thanks to Gary for all the positive years and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Mike Marchese, leader of the sales group at WE Johnson, has joined Marine Travelift-Florida to continue overseeing the territory’s sales operations. He is joined by Leo Piloto, Gulf Coast sales specialist, and a team of technicians with over 50 years of combined experience.
The expansion follows a similar expansion in 2019, when Marine Travelift opened its Mid-Atlantic branch to cover operations from New Jersey to the Carolinas. “There is a certain level of support and service customers expect from a premium product,” said Pfeifer. “We continue to invest in our brand and people to ensure our customers receive the best experience possible.”
