Marina Port Valencia and the Valencian Sailing Federation (FVCV) have signed an eight-year partnership agreement, focusing on sailing and watersports activities at the marina through a planned schedule of events, training and competitions. The agreement was signed by Santiago Donat, managing director of the marina, and Carlos Torrado, chairman of the federation.

Under the agreement, the FVCV will organise a year-round programme of regattas, training sessions, events and sponsorship activities at the marina, with financial support and access to facilities provided by Marina Port Valencia to support these activities.

The initiative also supports sailing-related businesses and specialist service providers operating in the city. The calendar of events and competitions is expected to attract national and international attention, with an impact on tourism, hospitality, boatyards and sailing schools.

Donat stated: “This partnership reflects our commitment to the yachting industry and to the city of Valencia, opening up the marina to the wider public through sport and fostering closer collaboration with the institutions that know the sea best.”

Torrado said: “This agreement highlights the excellent synergy between Marina Port Valencia and the federation to promote the sport of sailing, create opportunities, optimise resources and position Valencia as a sustainable hub for top-tier sailing and watersports. The federation needs the port for its activities and its growth, while Marina Port Valencia benefits from increased activity, added value and joint development opportunities.”
