Marina Partners has launched as a marina development and operations firm with a focus on drystack facilities. The firm was established by the team behind ASAR and GCM Contracting Solutions.

Marina Partners

The firm was created following the completion of Gulf Star Marina in Florida, described as the world’s first marina to operate using a fully automated, multiple-deep drystack storage and retrieval system. The project applied ASAR’s automation technology alongside structural and operational planning.

Marina Partners focuses on the planning, development and completion of drystack marina projects. The firm supports projects from early feasibility work through construction, automation coordination and opening preparations. While drystack facilities remain the main focus, the firm also supports traditional marina layouts based on site conditions and operational needs.

In addition to development and construction work, the firm provides marina management planning and asset remarketing support, aimed at helping owners organise initial operations and consider longer-term use of marina assets.

Marina Partners works with marina owners, developers, designers and investors, including owner-operators and real estate investment trusts, across waterfront markets internationally.

“Marina Partners was created from experience, by people who have planned, built, operated and improved marinas firsthand. At Gulf Star, we didn’t simply introduce automation – we advised, designed and executed the founder’s vision from concept through operation. Marina Partners brings that same clarity, discipline and forward-looking mindset to every project,” said Robert Brown, founder and CEO of GCM Contracting Solutions.

“What sets Marina Partners apart is that we are not applying innovation from the outside – we helped create it. We are a marina-focused firm with the technical, structural and operational experience to deliver complex drystack projects at scale, with confidence and accountability,” said David Brown, head of business development at GCM.
