IGY Marinas and Marina Bahia Golfito have extended their partnership to continue developing the marina in Golfo Dulce along the Pacific coast, as superyacht visits increase and demand for expedition-style cruising continues to grow.

Located near Corcovado and Piedras Blancas National Parks, Marina Bahia Golfito has 54 slips, including 13 for superyachts, and can accommodate vessels up to 107 metres. The marina provides fuel services, waste disposal and on-site support, alongside facilities such as a waterfront lodge, restaurant, marina village and spaces for events and guest activities.

The extended agreement includes planned updates at the marina, such as a natural pool, fitness centre and improved facilities for crew and guests.

Steven English, CEO of IGY Marinas, said: “The extension of our partnership with Marina Bahia Golfito reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional destinations for captains, owners and crew alike. Costa Rica’s ‘Pura Vida’ spirit and this marina’s unique eco-luxury experience resonate deeply with our global clientele. We are excited to build on this momentum and bring even more visitors to this stunning and sustainably managed corner of the world.”

The marina recently hosted two vessels from IGY’s Trident programme, an invitation-only membership for superyachts with services including dockage across its locations.

IGY Marinas operates a network of 24 locations across 14 countries, serving more than 10,000 customers annually.

Pedro Abdalla, marina director at Marina Bahia Golfito, said: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with IGY Marinas and welcome Trident fleet vessels to our docks. This extended agreement builds on our shared efforts to elevate Costa Rica as a world-class yachting hub while preserving the incredible natural environment that makes this destination so special.”
