IGY Marinas has announced the appointment of Brian Deher as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Marina Operations. In this role, he will manage the company’s marina operations across 24 destinations in 14 countries.

Born in St. Maarten, Deher studied in Puerto Rico, the United States and Europe before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He returned to the Caribbean in 1997 and began his professional career in the marine industry.

He brings more than three decades of experience in the sector, including over 20 years in leadership roles with IGY Marinas. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Operations for the Americas, overseeing marinas in the US, Caribbean and Latin America.

Outside of IGY, Deher has contributed to industry associations and community boards. He has served as president and executive board member of the St. Maarten Marine Trades Association and represented the organisation on the board of the Caribbean Marine Trades Association. He has also participated in civic, business and government advisory boards.
