Grand Banks and Palm Beach Motor Yachts have acquired Casey’s Marina at Spring Wharf, a marina situated in Newport Harbour, Rhode Island. The facility will be renamed Grand Banks and Palm Beach Motor Yachts Marina and is set to support the brands’ long-term service operations and owner engagement in the region.

Located in the centre of Newport’s sailing district, the acquisition also includes the neighbouring 10,000 square-foot Waites Wharf. The marina currently accommodates vessels up to 61-metres (200-feet) and offers a range of services including boat launching, crane support, fuel dock access, winter storage and shore power.

The purchase builds on the brands’ seasonal presence in Newport since 2018 and reflects a continued investment in owner support along the U.S. East Coast. Grand Banks and Palm Beach Motor Yachts now operate a brand-specific marina in the city’s main harbour, supported by a recently expanded production facility for its latest yacht models.

Bill Casey, former owner of Casey’s Marina, stated, “This marina has been part of Newport’s waterfront for generations, and it means a lot to see it in the hands of a team that truly understands and respects its legacy. Grand Banks and Palm Beach Motor Yachts have been part of this dock for years, and I’m proud to see them take it to the next level for the community and their owners.”

According to CEO and Chief Designer of Grand Banks and Palm Beach Motor Yachts, Mark Richards, the acquisition is closely tied to the company’s vision for service quality and owner experience.

“I’m excited about this strategic acquisition, which will further enhance our owner experience and service capabilities in the Northeast. This will be a home for our owners in this iconic harbour where sailing heritage runs so deep, it’s a thrilling next chapter. Newport has been a defining part of my sailing and boat building career for almost forty years. My ocean-racing experience has shaped this company's direction, bringing true innovation and technology to a classic form. This isn’t just a marina, it’s a place that brings our vision to life.”

The company plans to reveal the complete marina concept, along with additional announcements, at the Newport International Boat Show in September 2025.
