D-Marin’s operations in the UAE have reached two environmental milestones, with its Dubai marinas recognised for meeting international sustainability standards. Marsa Al Arab Marina secured Blue Flag status, described by the company as Dubai’s only marina to hold the certification, while Marasi Bay Marina received Gold Anchor accreditation.

Marsa Al Arab Marina secured Blue Flag status.

The Blue Flag programme recognises marinas and beaches for environmental management, water quality and community engagement, whereas the Gold Anchor scheme evaluates marinas on operational standards, environmental performance and the quality of services.

Located on a peninsula within Dubai’s largest private beach, Marsa Al Arab Marina offers 82 berths for vessels up to 61 metres and provides access to resort pools, spas, group fitness facilities, Jet Ski pontoons, on-site cafes and restaurants.

Marasi Bay Marina, situated in Dubai’s Business Bay district, accommodates 115 berths for vessels up to 35 metres and offers facilities including security, waste-disposal support, dock car access, and charter pick-up and drop-off.

Selcuk Balci, D-Marin Dubai Managing Director said: “We are so pleased to receive such important accreditations - they really reflect the values of everyone at our marinas who are so passionate about protecting the waters we all depend on.”

D-Marin UAE’s sustainability measures include underwater clean-ups, waste-management procedures, black and grey water pump-out systems and ongoing investment in renewable energy solutions.

Balci added: “We believe luxury shouldn’t come at the expense of the environment. Our guests increasingly want to know that they are making decisions that align with their own values, so being able to offer them marinas that meet high environmental standards means they can enjoy their time on the water with total peace of mind.”
