Chris Windsor CMM, marina manager at the Port of Dover, will retire at the end of this month after 30 years at the port, with leadership of the marina set to pass to Jodie Bowman.

TransEurope Marinas

Windsor first joined the port in 1995 in a seasonal position as a marine services operative and later progressed through marina roles before taking charge of marina operations in 2004.

Throughout his tenure, the marina underwent redevelopment work, including the opening of the Outer Marina in 2021 after years of work across the site, and the addition of a boatyard for vessel repair and maintenance services. The marina also received a 5 Gold Anchor status and was recognised by Navily this year as one of the leading marinas globally.

Steve Manser, head of marine and harbour master at the port, said: “Chris’ approach; calm and understated, but always striving for excellence, has been instrumental for the marina’s success over the years, and the fantastic journey it has come on to become a world class marina enjoyed by hundreds of berth holders today. We have seen first-hand the passion that Chris has for the marina, his team, customers and the wider port. A combination of experience, humour, patience and quiet determination has made Chris a pleasure to work with, and he will be greatly missed!”

Jodie Bowman, currently lead berthing master, will take over the marina operations manager role from 26 June 2026.
