The Sydney-based supplier provides equipment for boat hoisting, transport and storage to marinas, boatyards, hardstands and boat builders across Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific and Asia. The product line includes brands such as Roodberg Boat Handling Equipment, Multi-Mover, Capria and Brownell Boat Stands.

Recent deliveries highlight the company’s ongoing role in marina operations. In April 2025, Butchart Marine Services delivered a 40-tonne Roodberg hydraulic slipway trailer to Phuket Boat Lagoon in Thailand. Other installations include two 40-tonne trailers at the Royal Papua Yacht Club in Papua New Guinea and Rebak Island Marina in Malaysia. A 47-tonne hydraulic trailer is currently being built for Fiji, alongside two 20-tonne custom trailers for Singapore.

All equipment distributed by the company is aimed at improving operational safety and efficiency. Offerings include hydraulic and electric hoisting and transport systems, electric trailer tugs, rated boat standing gear and semi-automated electric dry stack solutions.

Managing Director Greg Butchart said: “I believe it is really important to support a vibrant, safe and sustainable industry. MIA does a great job in supporting industry particularly through their training programmes and best practice guidance. We want to see that continue and feel this is a great way for us to contribute and give back to the industry..

MIA CEO Suzanne Davies welcomed the continued partnership, noting: “Greg is a great supporter of the industry and the MIA. He has an intimate knowledge of all marinas throughout the Asia-Pacific region, especially if they have a boatyard, and has a great understanding of how he can help improve their operational efficiency. We are very grateful that Butchart Marine Services is investing in industry sponsorship again.”
