Bahrain Marina Development Company (BMDC) has announced the launch of Marina Walk as the commercial sub-brand for the Bahrain Marina project on Manama’s eastern waterfront. The new identity will be used for the planning and management of retail, dining and leisure spaces located alongside the marina.

Marina Walk covers the project’s commercial areas, including an indoor shopping mall, outdoor retail zones, cafés, restaurants and waterfront dining venues facing the marina basin. These spaces are intended to support daily activities around the marina while contributing to the wider waterfront setting in the capital.

Reyadh Yousif Sater, chairman of the board of BMDC, said: “Marina Walk represents an extension of our vision for Bahrain Marina to develop a fully integrated waterfront destination that combines vitality of place, quality design and a diverse range of experiences. It responds to market aspirations while offering a comprehensive experience for residents and visitors, in line with the project’s overall vision.”

The site includes a marina with yacht berthing facilities and a 3,200sqm marine club offering recreational and marine programmes.

Engineer Hisham Almoayyed, acting chief executive officer of BMDC, stated: “We have focused on developing a commercial component that offers a balanced mix of retail, dining and café options, while fully leveraging the project’s unique waterfront location. Marina Walk will be a qualitative addition that strengthens Bahrain Marina’s position as a leading destination for shopping, leisure and dining.”

Bahrain Marina is being developed with a total investment of 200 million Bahraini dinars (about $530 million USD). The project combines marina facilities with residential units, hotel accommodation, landscaped open spaces and sports amenities within a single waterfront site.
