Aspemir, the investment holding company of tennis player Rafael Nadal, has taken a minority stake in Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM), a Spain-based platform focused on superyacht marinas.

Aspemir joins OPM’s shareholder group alongside majority owner Ocean Capital Partners (OCP), as well as Grupo Empresas Matutes and investor Domingo de Torres.
OPM operates marinas in Ibiza, Málaga and Seville. IGY Málaga Marina offers 33 berths for vessels between 20 metres and 180 metres. IGY Ibiza Marina, on the Levante Wharf, has more than 25 berths for vessels ranging from 20 metres to 110 metres.
In Seville, the Muelle de las Delicias marina can accommodate vessels of up to 150 metres, with direct access to the city centre.
Aspemir’s entry adds to the project’s ties with Spain and the wider Mediterranean, including Mallorca and the Balearic yachting community. It also supports plans for marina development, with attention to environmental considerations such as the protection of Posidonia oceanica.
José Luis Almazán, managing partner of Ocean Capital Partners, commented: “The incorporation of Aspemir into Ocean Platform Marinas represents key support for our project, through which we aim to promote large-yacht yachting with sustainable, state-of-the-art infrastructure that also fosters integration between port and city.”
